Faster

Let me just explain: I might like those films that make you think and those  long films where nothing happens, but I also like a good action film. Guns, car chases, hot girls, cheesy lines and unrealistic plots. It's all a good bit of escapism. And this is what the trailer had led me to believe Faster would be. Hell the quote on the front even: "The best straight-up action film this year." I was expecting as a minimum Dwayne Johnson's attempt to do a Fast & Furious film. Now I know that's not saying much, but it didn't even fucking live up to that.

It all starts out with the "Driver" is released from prison and starts killing, the problematic "Cop" get the case, the "Killer" gets the job of taking out the "Driver". Well it's already all wrong: The "Driver" should be the "Killer" and the "Killer" should be "Hitman". Or just don't give them shitty names at all.

The Informers

Bret Easton Ellis is considered one of Americas greatest living writers and I have to say that's quite a boast considering the other authors still alive. Of course his most famous book American Psycho was made into a film and was probably the film that made a star of Christian Bale. American Psycho is a great fucking book and a great fucking film so I looked at The Informers a tale of 80's excess in Los Angeles and thought could be good. I tend to ignore the opinions of those on IMDB and the such because they are often fucking way out and to be honest any bunch of fuckers who give 7.6 to the latest Harry Potter film have got to be a bunch of lying bastards. The Informers also has one hell of a cast including Billy Bob Thornton, Kim Basinger, Mickey Rourke, Winona Ryder and Amber Heard (this last one is just because I think she is hot as fuck) and I thought 80's, Bret Easton Ellis and that cast so what could go wrong?
