Sex And The City - Film Review

Click to enlargeGirls really are fucking stupid, after sitting through the dogshit which is Sex In The City my stupid girlfriend claimed 'That is one of the best films I have ever seen'. I don't even think its because she has never seen the likes of Reservoir Dogs or The Running Man, she is just a women and they are stupid.
You can often tell a film by the trailers that precede it, there were two that stood out, both shit. The first one is some shit about 4 women and one is being cheated on and the hilarious shenanigans that surround it, shit! The second some shit where some shit happens and some stupid women laugh and then cry and then hug and then unfortunately don't die. I could hear the two women behind me giggling saying how funny it was and that they would have to go and see it, idiots!
I am not just being a beer drinking football loving bloke who was going to hate this for the sake of it. I watched the series and it was okay, had some pretty good stuff because it works as a half hour show. See in half an hour you get a simple lesson learnt, that is what Sex And The City was about, one lesson told through humorous anecdotes. The film is 2 hours and 28 minutes long. You did read that correctly, 2 fucking hours and twenty fucking eight minutes long. This is a love story, you know, boy meets girls, boy fucks up, boy gets girl back. You only need 90 minutes to tell it. By the end I thought night had passed and I was late for work. FUCKING 2 HOURS AND TWENTY TWATTING EIGHT MINUTES. FUCK OFF.
Don't get me wrong, its not all bad, there are some funny bits where I genuinely laughed out loud but there were moments when I cringed. You know the dickhead at school who was never funny but then made a funny joke so ended up saying it over and over again, well all I can say is dog shagging random objects.
Click to enlargeThe main problem with the film is that it tries to tell too many stories, in the show you got one main thread with glimpses of the others spread over a series but the film tries to tell a story about each one of these stupid women but the stories are too big therefore the film ends up being a bunch of stuff that just happens. So here is the plot, some stuff happens then they do some stuff, they go and buy some stuff and talk about some stuff and then some more stuff happens, blah blah blah blah and then some stuff happens and the film ends.
I don't hate love stories, I quite liked Pretty Women, Indecent Proposal was good but this is actual SHIT, self indulgent SHIT, 'One of the best film I have ever seen', will you fuck off, seriously just fuck off and think about what you have just said before I take a shit in your Manolo Fucking Blahnik's.
