Twins Review

Click to enlargeWhen Arnie was top of his fucking game as the most employable action star in the Universe he side stepped everyone a made a comedy with midget Danny DeVito. This was the following year from making Predator and The Running Man and the same year as Red Heat. I can't act like I was surprised because I knew fuck all about him, I had only seen The Running Man because my nob older brother let me. Looking back now it was a risky move.

The thing is Arnie has made a whole bunch of comedy films which took him to be a popular household name but unfortunately some of these are proper shit. I have forgiven him for Jingle All The Way and Junior because he successfully made the best Arnie film ever Kindergarten Cop and the very fucking funny Twins.

You see some people just write Twins off because it is Arnie and his funny Scandinavian accent but they miss the whole fucking point of the film. It is not about some tick dude, his midget brother and the shenanigans they get into, it is a story of companionship and finding oneself.

I suppose you have to be able to feel in touch with the film, Gonzo will get this as we have an idiot small friend who supports Spurs who I will call 'Spurs Cunt'. Now Spurs Cunt makes us feel like Arnie when we are with him because he is a stupid little cunt yet with all mine and Gonzo's brilliance we have managed to be really good friends, like brothers.

Arnie plays Julius Benedict with DeVito as  his long lost brother Vincent. They were part of some bizarre experiment to create the perfect fucker, they did this by creating twins and putting all the good shit in one and all the left over shit in another. When the father of the project dies Julius leaves the Island where he has been educated to find Vincent. Vincent is a bit of a fucking idiot and a crook and has a gang after him. Once they find and accept each other the film follows them on their search for their mother.

The film fucking rules and unlike Predator the wench and little bastard can watch it with me and feel the love for Arnie. One day the little bastard will get to see The Running Man and Total Recall but for the moment we can watch this.
